PERSONAL INTERVIEW
Each candidate is interviewed by one of the interviewer-teams,
that were specially trained and oriented for, consisted by four people:
an experienced YEO who will lead, a Rotary-Mom, a selected Rotex member
and one invited inbound student. Although the team leader has an option
not to considerated the score given by the inbound student, it has
never happened yet. Those team members are given an evaluation sheet
where they should rank their individual opinion on each candidate
facing six different themes:
a real desire and strong will to participate as an exchange student;
maturity,
character;
attitude;
trustiness,
sincerity;
communicability;
extra
school activities;
How well
would themselves host this candidate in their own home?
To
make this possible, the teams were first given an orientation, a simulation
and are told the aspects that the Rotary Youth Exchange Program District
4760 Committee believe are better in each of the themes that they
were going to rank the candidates in the interviews.
Each interview is timed between 15’ and 18’, separated by and intermission
of 2’ in order for the examiners to complete their papers.
