Area/Cities
District 4760 is located in the State of Minas Gerais, whose capital is Belo Horizonte, third largest Brazilian city with 2,500,000 people. Belo has been the birthplace of Brazilian Rotary Youth Exchange Program as it started here in 1967 by the hands of Dr. Ruy Pimenta Filho. Since then over 1,150 students were hosted by our District and about the same number of students have been abroad sent by us. Our D-4760 area goes up northwest and westbound from Belo and the main cities, besides Belo Horizonte, which host students are: Contagem, Betim, Montes Claros, Curvelo, Paracatu, Patos de Minas, Carmo do Paranaiba, Bom Despacho and Pirapora.

Figures:
Last Rotary year (2003/2004) we had 140 students involved in our Program, 63 inbound students and 77 outbound students. Most of them were participants of the Long Term Exchange (one year) and only 37 students were in Short Term Exchange Programs, including NGE New Generations Exchange. This year of 2004 we hosted a NGE group from India and we are preparing to send out a NGE group to the USA.
